Back in 2009 Eggman Technologies was incorporated to my parents (Barry and Lorrie Egerter). I worked for them part-time to support their mobile application business. The created several surveillance applications starting with Live Cams (for iPhone 3G), Live Cams HD (for the 2010 original iPad), and then a combined version that works on both devices called Live Cams Pro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The app was the #1 paid app in the entire US App Store on Christmas day 2009. It sold over 2.5 million copies to camera owners around the world. It was #1 in over 25 different countries and supported 7 native languages. It also became the #1 selling app in Japan in January 2010. Angry Birds knocked Live Cams out of the #1 spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The business continued until 2015 when we had some critical family issues to deal with (sickness of several members). Barry had to get a full time job to support keeping the business. My parents chose to close the business in 2019 when they could no longer afford to pay the fees to keep it running. It enjoyed a full 10 years on the App Store with over 50,000 active users per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023 my dad had a serious stroke which made him lose his speech entirely and he lost his job at RedIron Technologies (formerly COO of that company). He has since regained his speech in 2025 but is unable to work due to critical heart disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My dad has gifted me the source code for Live Cams Pro to continue on my own with the help of some other family members. I hope to have the source compatible with the new iOS developers kit and make it a success again. A release will be pending sometime in 2025 or early 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
